Welcome to Unwind the Feminine

Welcome to Day 1

We have a wonderful first day lined up as we ease into the material slowly.

The welcome lecture outlines the structure of the course.

There is always an introduction to each practice that we have. Yet it is always important for you to tune in on where you are in your cycle. For those of you who no longer have a menstrual cycle, please still take a moment to check in with your energy levels. It might even be helpful for you to check in with where the lunar moon is. The outer moon can have quite a profound effect on how we feel. This might mean that those of you who are just about to bleed, bleeding, or who feel depleted, that you skip the first practice “The Heart of Yoga” and come back to it at a later date. However, you can still participate in the sealing of the practice, which is a gentle meditation.

I trust you all to take a decent Savasana(10-15 minutes at least!) after each practice, which will mean that you pause the video before the meditation/ sealing of the practice.

Dispelling the Myths is a slide show to take you on a brief journey into yoga’s rich history and lays the foundation for our exploration of women in Yoga. Do remember, history isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so simply keep an open mind and a willingness to invite curiosity!

The second practice of the day is a gentle Yin practice. It is an invitation for you to create some space and begin the journey of unwinding.

Enjoy!
